Finding something to do when you are under the age of 18 can be a problem. Consett Teens Acoustic NightMany live music venues have age limits which must be met putting a large number of music fans in a position where they can’t check out local bands. This needs to be addressed and the Derwent Valley Area Action Partnership and the Derwentside Health Network have kindly sponsored a youth acoustic music event to be held on the 29th of the month at Derwentside College. This event is aimed at young people between the ages of 13 and 19 and is shaping up to be a fabulous acoustic night.

This alcohol free music night is shaping up to be a great night for Consett’s young people and will no doubt showcase some of the best local acoustic talent right in the centre of the town. Performances from VK2 and Jake Fletcher will be the main focus of the night but there will be time for any impromptu sets in an open mic night format. If you are a budding musician why not go along and show off your skills.

Doors will be opening at 6:30pm with the first of the music starting at around 7:00 so don’t be late. Alongside the music, there will also be refreshments and food available at the college for you to grab a bite to eat. If you are looking for something to do on the 29th of the month why not head to the college and watch some great live music.

Doors open at 6:30pm and entry is only £2.50
