By drinking one 250ml glass of the nitrate rich juice could reduce blood pressure by 10mm hg with the effects lasting for 24 hours after ingesting. This research also suggests that all nitrate rich vegetables such as lettuce, cabbage and fennel would also have a positive effect to your blood pressure.
