Here in the North East of  England, exports from our region have grown in the last five years. Reports claim our annual exports have increased from £8BN to £14BN.

With recent talks between the G8 nations on an EU-US Transatlantic trade deal fueling positivity on both sides of the Atlantic, North East businesses are being invited to look at opportunities in the USA as part of a UKTI-led trade delegation.

The programme for North East business representatives to visit the USA will take place on the West Coast of America in Los Angeles and San Francisco. The trip will take place on the 12-19th of October 2013 and SME could be eligible for £500 towards travelling expenses.

Recent claims from journalists across the UK expect the EU–US trade agreement will be most beneficial to the UK. David Cameron said the agreement could be worth as much as £10BN for the UK economy or around £380 per UK household.

For more information on the US visit for North East businesses, there will be a seminar held on 4th July 2013 at Teeside University. To book a place on the event call the North East International Trade Hotline on 0845 05 05 054 or email: enquiries@uktinortheast.org.uk.

The deadline to sign up for the America Market Visit is 31 August 2013.
