The help for heroes charity summer BBQ at the Miners Arms (in Medomsley) on Sunday 25th of August 2013 was a complete success with many people turning up to enjoy live music and entertainment, while helping the event to raise in excess of £500 for the Help For Heroes charity. The chefs from the Miners Arms even got up on stage with the band to do a cover of Bon Jovi’s Living On A Prayer.

Also at the event there were several American imported cars including two Lincoln Town Cars, two Ford Eco line vans, a Pontiac Trans-Am (sporting a massive 6.6 litre engine), and a replica Texas Police car. Many of the people at the event were invited to get inside the cars and to have their photos taken beside these classic vehicles.

Overall a great was have with some amazing raffle prizes, great food, good people, and fun times. We look forward to Next years charity BBQ at the Miners Arms in Medomsley.
