Tablet computers are quickly becoming the most sort after piece of hardware on the technology market. The success of the Apple iPad has lead a number of manufacturers to have a go at making and releasing their own tablet computers. One of the newest and cheapest tablets on the scene is being released by retail chain Argos as an attempt to take a bite out of the budget tablet market.
MyTablet is Argos’ attempt on securing a foothold in the consumer electronic market by offering a 7 inch Android based system for just £100. When compared to the £500 price tag of a 10 inch iPad, the MyTablet is only one fifth of the cost with almost all of the same functionality when it comes to social media, browsing and gaming. With 8GB of internal memory, a 1.6GHz dual core processor, a 2MP camera and an LCD display, this tablet looks like an absolute steal for the price.
Argos are looking to the emerging market for budget tablets with the MyTablet and as the sector only increases in size there is a good chance that many people will be looking for a cheaper alternative to the established manufacturers offerings. Argos wont have things all their own way as Tesco have also released a 7 inch tablet at a price of £120. Coming up to Christmas both manufacturers will be looking to make an impression on the technology market with young people aged 8 to 13 being their primary target.
If you are looking for a cheap tablet computer this winter then why not try some of these new budget offerings. They look great, have good functionality and won’t break the bank.
