Consett Stroke Club is a newly formed organisation looking to provide vital services for people who have suffered from a stroke in Consett Stroke Clubthe local area. Over 5,500 people each year in the North East unfortunately fall victim to strokes and more needs to be done to help people who are recovering from this serious illness. It’s not only the victims of strokes who have a hard time; carers of stroke patients can have a difficult time and also need support.

The club has been set up to offer support, friendship, advice and fun for stroke sufferers in Consett by organising social events and campaigning for better services for stroke sufferers in the area. Members of the club all have experience in the process of recovering from a stroke so who better to help on the long road to recovery.
