Young people are being encouraged to take part in a series of events to celebrate Easter in County Durham.

Events throughout Easter in County Durham are taking place thanks to Durham County Council’s Culture and Sport Team to encourage young people to take part in a wide variety of sporting activities, some of which they likely won’t have tried before.

Any young people are encouraged to turn up to one of the organised events and give things a try, some planned events include; street dance, touch rugby, street tennis, ping pong golf, inflatable cricket, and freestyle football games. The main target of these events is young people aged roughly eight to eleven with separate groups for eleven Easter-in-County-Durhamplus, organised events are taking place from 1pm to 4pm. East Durham Area Action Partnership is partly funding the events taking place in Peterlee.
