It’s time for the Lanchester Agricultural Show once again, locals are working hard to prepare the village for what’s to come.

The annual Lanchester Agricultural Show is just around the corner, taking place this Sunday (6 July) at New House Farm in Lanchester – on the A691 – it’s expected to kick off at around 8:30am and run until 5pm or later so whether you’re planning ahead or just want to pop along later in the day it should be great fun for all.lanchester agricultural show

As always the show promises to be a huge event suitable for the whole family, and there should be something for everyone to do. There’s free parking nearby and on-site catering to keep everyone fed and watered throughout the day, especially important if it’s as warm as we’re expecting.

Tickets are available when you arrive; £5 for adults, £3 for children or £12 for the family, and infants can get in for free! If you’re interested in competing in any of the scheduled events then you can book ahead or sign up on the day – for details visit the website at the bottom.

This year’s Lanchester Agricultural Show has an incredibly wide range of events, attractions, and competitions for everyone that plans to head along. Just some animal events include; showing and driving classes, show jumping, a hunt parade, and a dog show. Plus there will be a craft tent for the more hands-on visitors, and of course a beer tent to add a little something to the day.

Throughout the day there will be a range of activities for the kids to get involved in, bouncy castles, face painting, a climbing wall, bungee trampolines, an inflatable slide, and archery are just some of what to expect. If you’re more interested in possibly learning something or gaining an insight into something often left unseen then you may want to look out for the local police dogs group, vintage tractors, and cattle classes.
