Medomsley started its Farmers Market in November 2014 and proved to be a massive success, we had over thirty stalls who were all amazed as to how successful the market was. A lot of the stall holders actually sold out half way through the day. The butcher had to re-stock twice. Feedback from buyers and sellers stated that it was one of the best markets they had attended.
This proved to us that there was a definitely space for a regular market so the next one is on the 21st December 2014 from 11am to 3pm.
This time however is bigger and better, with us hitting just under 50 stalls it makes us one of the biggest markets in the area and its all happening in Medomsley.
We have so many different types of amazing crafts its impossible to list them all, and as for the food side we have a local butcher and fruit and veg man, flavoured sausages, smoked fish, game, venison, cheeses, European meats, an amazing bakery, the fabulous Pie Shop and a great variety of sweets (plus gluten free fudge). Fresh honey, man sacks and ale and The simply cheesecake lady are all attending. And the best thing is the majority of these stalls are local people with small businesses that we are helping getting known and helping to expand.
There is also a free meat raffle, every visitor will be given a raffle ticket and the draw will be made at 2.45pm by one of our local councillors.
The Farmers Market is going to put Medomsley back on the map which is one of our aims, we are an amazing village with lots happening.
The organisers are Tristan Raine, Emma Raine, Craig Wallace and Helen Wallace. We also organise The Medomsley Hoe Down which we are expecting to double in size in comparison to last years amazing success.
