They set up a JustGiving page to raise money for Willowburn Hospice and are delighted and overcome with their friends generosity and support.

Katherine and Michael wrote:

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Unbelievably it’s been 10 years since we lost our dad to cancer. He has missed all his three kids grow up and big occasions without him don’t get any easier with time.

We are raising money for Willowburn Hospice who looked after him so brilliantly in his final few days and have continued to do so over the last decade for other families in the same position.

We all miss him so much, but this is our way of remembering him and hopefully bringing some comfort to others at the same time.

We are both overwhelmed with people’s kindness and generosity. We have managed to raise £1,700 to date. This is above and beyond what we thought we could achieve. We are so lucky to be surrounded by so many lovely supportive people. We can’t thank you all enough. We wanted to run the GNR in memory of our dad and I’m sure we’ve made him proud. Thanks again everyone for being so kind, we love you all. The money raised is going to make such a difference ?

Their just giving page is still open www.justgiving.com/Michael-KathWeightman
