The Annual Cricket Day will return to Shotley Bridge Cricket Club on Sunday August 27th starting at 12 noon.

This event is organised by The Rotary club of Consett and Derwentside Round Table.

Held in memory of Stewart Weightman who was a member of Rotary and Round Table it has since 2007 raised money for WillowBurn Hospice.

Stewart who died of cancer in 2006 will be remembered as the cricket teams play for The Stewart Weightman trophy. His family and friends are all involved in making the day a success to help raise funds for this local charity as well as having a good day out.

Shotley Bridge Cricket Club provide the venue and the day conveniently coincides with their popular annual Beer Festival which takes place over the bank holiday weekend. So there is lots to enjoy,

It is a fun packed day which includes entertaining cricket by the teams, Tombola, a Winner takes All stall, games and a Pick a Prize raffle.

Come along and support the day and help to make it a successful fundraising event.

There is no admission charge and everyone is welcome.
