An exhibition of the work of talented local photographers is to take place in Consett.

Consett and District Photographic Society will be exhibiting a selection of their prints at the Consett Empire Theatre and Library from November 10th to November 24th.

But the artworks will not be limited to the Empire. Because many local shops and businesses are supporting the exhibition, images will also be displayed in cafes and shops across Consett.

The Consett and District Photographic Society said, “The images are from our members’ collections and showcase our spirit, enthusiasm and love of photography.”

“Please come and see our exhibition or come along to one of the club’s meetings. They are at the Steel Club in Consett on a Monday evening at 7.30 pm.”

“We are keen and friendly photographers who meet to share ideas, arrange workshops and trips out. New members are made to feel welcome and experience the thrill of sharing our photographic achievements.”

“Many members enjoy the club activities as a means to meet their friends as well as exchanging their latest photographic experiences.”

This year’s event follows on from the society’s successful 2017 exhibition, entitled ‘Derwentside in Pictures’, which was staged in Stanley Civic Hall.
