Unfortunatley its also part of the run down, stinking cesspool that is Sunderland
Bazza Davison plenty of rundown stinking cesspools in Newcastle as well 😂
Paul Embleton yes but newcastle has a thriving multi cultural city, a premier league football team, grand archietecture, a thriving music scene down the Ouseburn, a grand railway station, a great shopping Centre in Eldon Square, a vibrant place to eat, drink and watch movies at the Gate and has an airport.
Sunderland has a few Dixy Chicken outlets, the Bridges Shopping Centre and a train station that looks like the entrance to Boyes.
Bazza Davison Airport is in ponteland which Sunderland council has a big shareholding .
Great place for dolphin spotting
Seaham is same distance and much nicer!
hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahaa
It’s a nice bike ride
Oh and Consett is a utopian paradise 😃. That night club you had Botto’s sums it up!
Sunderland is multi cultural too. Empire holds more than Theatre Royal. All stadium shows with big production come to SoL. Three gigs booked in there for next summer already! Ouseburn, nice area, but never heard of any of the bands that play the Cluny! Our Fire Station has well known artistes you have actually heard of!
New city centre living/commerce/office space is being built as I speak. All the best architecture, including train station, was destroyed during the war, the town being so near the shipyards. Newly opened Sheepfolds development with great bars and restaurants as in Keel Square with on trend bars etc too have been a great success. We had an airport but the land was redeveloped to bring employment to the whole NE. It’s called Nissan. You may have heard of it. It’s success bringing wealth and employment to the UK is right up there with Phileous Smogg 😃 😀 😄
If you want to see what a FA Cup looks like I’ll send you a photo. Meanwhile carry wiping the dust off your trophy cabinet 😃 😀 😄 Richest club in the world?😉. You can’t even get Crystal Palace players to come up 😂 🤣 how much money been spent? You don’t even own the football club land. BTW, remind me of your current record of wins against SAFC???
Meanwhile, take time to have proper look around the city and outlying area, but you probably won’t change your barcode eyes mind, and wollow in your ignorance.
…oh did I mention the new film studios that’s been signed off by government and council bringing 8.5 thousand jobs?
🎶 sunlun ’till I die….
Ian Maggiore well said Ian, Sunderland is certainly moving in the right direction, I can’t wait to see the impact the film studios have on the City. I’m glad we have an airport nearby for when the movie stars fly in “taxi Sunderland please”
Geoff Kitson love it, while you drive past NCL 😃
My worry is this government could pull the plug on the film studios, my hope is that if it’s already signed off maybe they can’t. 🤞
Geoff Kitson in a Labour strong hold area? They’ve already annoyed some pensioners and smokers. Hopefully not
Ian Maggiore let’s hope not it will be amazing for the whole area.
Ian Maggiore well said marra
Geoff Kitson
The Combined North East Council has already signed off the first 25 million for the groundwork’s which is out to tender.
It would be a political disaster for them if they were ever to pull the plug now.
Seaham is easier from Consett
