Consett Lions marked the beginning of the new Lionistic year with a warm and welcoming social evening held at Sale Pepe in Shotley Bridge.
The gathering brought together members for a night of fellowship, food and fundraising. A raffle held during the event raised £30 in support of the Children’s Air Ambulance—a cause close to the club’s heart.
The evening also served as an opportunity to recognise the dedication and commitment of two long-standing members. Les Storey and Mike Rogers were each honoured for an incredible 30 years of service to the Consett Lions and the wider community.
Their contributions over three decades exemplify the values of Lions Clubs International: service, leadership and community spirit.
The Consett Lions continue to support local and national causes through regular events and fundraising initiatives, embodying the motto “We Serve” with pride.
