Prince Bishop Vets has been a cornerstone of veterinary care in Leadgate since its founding in 1984 by Vet Jacqui Molyneux. Over the years, the practice has grown into a highly respected institution, now staffed by a dedicated team of 32 professionals. This includes 7 vets, 9 registered veterinary nurses (RVNs), 2 student veterinary nurses (SVNs), and 3 veterinary care assistants, along with skilled receptionists and administrative personnel.
Leading the team is Dr. Gillian Brown, Clinical Director, who has been with the practice for over 25 years. A graduate of Bristol University, Dr. Brown initially worked at the university before gaining international experience in Australia and New Zealand. She returned to the UK in 1999 and has been an integral part of the Leadgate practice ever since.
Cheryl Marriott, who began her career at Prince Bishop Vets at just 16 as a Nursing Assistant, has since gained extensive experience and qualifications in Veterinary Nursing. Now serving as Head Nurse, she plays a key role in managing and supporting the nursing team.
The practice offers comprehensive veterinary care for a variety of pets, with dogs and cats making up the majority of their patients. They also treat rabbits and guinea pigs and provide emergency care for injured wildlife, working closely with local volunteers and animal shelters to ensure proper rehabilitation and long-term care.
With a commitment to excellence and compassion, Prince Bishop Vets continues to provide top-tier veterinary services to the Leadgate community and beyond.
