Tokyo Marathon Success for Street Child Fundraiser

-

Local runner Natasha Pollock has completed the Tokyo Marathon, raising funds for the charity Street Child, with strong support from the community back home.

So far, Natasha has raised £1,500 plus Gift Aid, with further backing from Specsavers Consett helping push the fundraising total towards her £4,000 goal. The final stage of the campaign now focuses on gaining local community support to help reach the target.

Natasha said the marathon itself was an incredible experience. The race went well and she thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere, taking the time along the route to shout out and thank everyone who has supported the journey.

With the finish line crossed in Tokyo, the focus now turns to the final fundraising push to support Street Child’s work helping vulnerable children access education and opportunity.
