Do you want to raise a bit of cash for Christmas? Need a clear out before Santa gets here? Interested in top-Savvy Parents and Kids and Children's Marketquality gifts at bargain prices?

If you answered ‘yes’ to any of these questions, then there’s an event this weekend in Consett that’s perfect for you.

The Baby and Children’s Market is the perfect opportunity during tough economic times for parents to stock up on quality toys, games, kids furniture, buggies, clothes, books, bikes, scooters, walkers and just about anything imaginable for babies and kids without spending a fortune.

A popular company dedicated to helping the local parental community make and save money, B&C Markets was established in January 2010 in the south of England. Since then it has become a growing brand name amongst parents, parents-to-be and grandparents as an alternative to high cost, high street shopping.

This Saturday, November 30, sees the first ever event in Consett with a market at Christ Church Parish Hall, Parliament Street from 10-12noon.

More markets are planned for other towns in the region in the new year, all committed to help families save money and to encourage up-cycling.

At each event local mums and dads come along to sell on their quality unused baby and children’s items in the birth to 8 year age range to parents keen to save a fortune and encourage recycling at the same time.
Refreshments are available and there are activities to keep your little ones entertained while you shop.
