Exciting news for the upcoming February Half Term 2024! The Derwent Valley Partnership AAP has funding available to support fantastic face-to-face activities for kids, young people, and families.

This initiative is all about backing local community groups and organizations within our Derwent Valley Partnership area to bring you engaging and fun activities during the school break, complete with healthy meals.

Now, here’s the scoop: this funding is specifically for groups and non-profit organizations, so individuals and profit-focused groups, unfortunately, won’t be eligible. But if you’re a part of a community group or organization, you’re in luck! You can apply for over £500 to make your activity dreams a reality.

Here’s a crucial detail: your activity must include a healthy snack, breakfast, lunch, or tea that meets the necessary Food Safety Requirements. We take our munchies seriously, after all!

Keen to get involved? Just drop an email to dvaap@durham.gov.uk to request an application pack. Once you’ve got that, make sure to read the guidance carefully before completing your application.

A heads-up for those who’ve applied before: make sure all your monitoring details are up to date. It could make a difference in securing your organisation’s funding this time.

Important date alert! All applications and supporting documents must land in our inbox by noon on Wednesday 10th January 2024. Need a hand with the application or some support? Don’t hesitate to reach out to our friendly AAP team at 07825 965 626 or dvaap@durham.gov.uk. We’re here to help!
