Excitement is growing across Consett as the Lions announce the return of their Annual Town Raffle, a much-loved tradition that brings neighbours, families and local organisations together to support causes that matter to the community.
This year’s raffle is packed with family‑focused prizes, generously donated by local businesses who continue to champion the Lions’ work. Among the highlights are family passes to North Tyneside Aquarium, Bamburgh Castle, and Northumberland Zoo, along with a two‑course meal at Lumley Castle and many other fantastic experiences. With tickets priced at just £1, every entry offers the chance to win something special while supporting vital community projects.
Empowering Local Groups Through the 70/30 Fundraising Split
The Lions are once again inviting local groups, clubs, churches, and organisations to take part in selling raffle tickets through the popular 70/30 fundraising scheme. For every £1 ticket sold, participating groups keep 70p, making it an easy and effective way to raise funds with no upfront costs. Last year’s involvement from community organisations was outstanding, and the Lions hope even more groups will join in this year.
