The Consett Lions Club was thrilled to welcome Jackie Robson, the new Zone Chair, as their first official visitor. Jackie was impressed by the exciting projects currently in progress and expressed optimism about the club’s future, especially with potential new members.
A special thanks goes out to The Grey Horse for their generous donation of food collected during their recent beer festival. Sandra and Dave, the landlords, also went above and beyond by shopping at Lidl GB with monetary donations, contributing to the food
delivery at Glenroyd House.
The club is also hosting a St John Ambulance Awareness Event on November 7th at 7 PM at The Steel Club. This free first-aid session will teach essential life-saving skills. To book a spot, contact Richard Judd at 07779 345811 or via email at juddrichard1976@gmail.com.
Additionally, the Town Raffle Draw is fast approaching, with tickets available for £1 each. The draw will take place on November 21st at The Steel Club. Local businesses are encouraged to contribute prizes, and community groups can participate by selling tickets.
