Members of the public will get a chance to have their say on how a substantial sum of money should be spent across the area. On Saturday 2nd of March at Derwentside College It's Up 2 Youyou will be able to vote on which local projects will get a share of £40,000 of funding. This could be a big help for many community projects in the area who would use the money to improve their facilities for their users.

Voting starts at 10am on the Saturday morning and closes at 2:30pm. Now is the chance to have your say on where local funding should be spent. As long as you are over the age of 11 and live, work or go to school in the Derwentside area you can vote and have your say.
