As sustainability becomes a priority, Fettled Vintage Creations, owned by Helen Young, offers an eco-friendly approach to home furnishings through upcycling and furniture restoration. Helen has been transforming old furniture into stylish, one-of-a-kind pieces for many years and took her passion full-time about a decade ago.
Starting from home, Helen’s craft soon outgrew her space, leading to the launch of Fettled Vintage Creations in Leadgate after the Covid lockdown. Earlier this year, she relocated to a new shop in Consett, where she continues to breathe new life into old pieces.
In addition to her restoration work, Helen offers workshops in upcycling, painting, decoupage, and upholstery, allowing others to learn the skills needed to create their own sustainable home décor. By repurposing furniture, Helen’s work promotes sustainability while offering unique pieces that are both beautiful and environmentally friendly.
