Will Oliver’s career at Greencroft Bottling is a testament to how dedication and ambition can lead to real progression. Since joining in 2017 as a label operator, he has steadily climbed the ranks, moving into technical administration, then quality assistant manager and now holding the role of quality control manager.
In his current position, Will ensures that every bottle leaving the site meets the highest industry standards. His responsibilities include overseeing product specifications, supplier compliance and food safety measures – critical aspects in maintaining Greencroft Bottling’s reputation for quality. He’s also a key part of the HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) team, working to ensure food safety, legal compliance and the integrity of all products. On top of that, he manages the traceability of finished goods and oversees the allergen management programme, making sure every ingredient is properly controlled.
His professional development hasn’t stopped there. Through the business, Will has recently completed a degree in Food Industry Technical Profession at Sheffield Hallam University (his second degree).
But for Will, working at Greencroft Bottling is about more than technical expertise. “I’ve developed so many skills beyond quality control; leadership, communication and the confidence to manage teams. It’s a place where hard work is recognised and you feel like you’re making a real impact.”
The family-run nature of the business is another big plus. “You see the people at the top working just as hard as everyone else and they’re approachable – you can actually talk to them.”
