The Derwent Valley Partnership is thrilled to announce its inaugural Environment Conference, set to take place on Friday, 27th September 2024, from 10am to 2pm at Consett Rugby Club, Amethyst Park, Medomsley Road, Consett, DH8 6LU.
This exciting event is free to attend and promises to be an insightful and engaging day for anyone interested in environmental issues and sustainability. The conference will feature a series of presentations from distinguished guest speakers, including Councillor Jonathan Elmer, Professor Stephen Willis from Durham University, representatives from Durham County Council, and various local community groups. These speakers will share their expertise and insights on a range of environmental topics relevant to both the local area and beyond.
In addition to the presentations, there will be display stalls offering information and resources on environmental initiatives, as well as a Q&A session, giving attendees the opportunity to engage directly with the experts and ask questions about the issues that matter most to them.
A buffet lunch will be provided, offering a great chance to network with like-minded individuals and discuss the day’s topics in a more informal setting.
Spaces for the conference are limited, so booking is essential. To secure your place, please contact the Derwent Valley Partnership on 07818 510365 or email dvaap@durham.gov.uk.
