Meet the People Behind the Pour

Meet the People Behind the Pour

Greencroft Bottling in Annfield Plain is one of the region’s largest employers, and Consett Magazine has been given exclusive access to meet the people who keep the business running. Today, we’re catching up with Shift Supervisor Minda Kausius to hear about his journey and passion for the job.

“I joined Greencroft Bottling in April 2008, initially as agency staff for five months before becoming a permanent team member. I started as a machine operator and have worked on every machine in the facility, which has given me a deep understanding
of the entire bottling process and how each stage fits together.

“After a year, I was promoted to Line Leader. Because of my hands-on experience with the machines, I became the go-to person for problem-solving. I’ve always enjoyed troubleshooting and I take real pride in my work – I know that what I do makes a difference.

After six years in that role, I had the opportunity to step up as a stand-in supervisor, covering a colleague’s maternity leave. When she returned in a different position, I took on the Shift Supervisor role full-time.

“I genuinely enjoy working at Greencroft Bottling. My colleagues feel like friends and my wife works here too – we’re on the same shift, so we get to see each other throughout the day. Plus, it’s local for us, just a five-minute commute, and we can drive in together.

“My advice for anyone looking to progress? Work hard, be ambitious and friendly, and love what you do. I’m already working towards my next step, Shift Manager, because there are always opportunities for promotion here, and I’m committed to reaching that next level.”

Greencroft Bottling is growing and we’re looking for people to join our team. If you’re enthusiastic, hard-working and seeking a career in which you can progress, visit our website: www.greencroftbottling.com/recruitment
