With a background as an NHS midwife and advanced ultrasound training, she was driven to offer families in her community easier access to private baby scans—something previously unavailable within a 15-mile radius.
A lifelong Leadgate resident, Melanie’s roots run deep. Her clinic reflects her commitment to personalised, compassionate care in a warm, community-focused setting.
After earning her midwifery degree and a postgraduate qualification in medical ultrasound, Melanie saw how limited standard NHS scan access could be. Baby Grows now offers early pregnancy, gender reveal, reassurance, and 4D scans—supporting families through every stage of pregnancy.
