From Childhood Dream to Cat Paradise

Denise had a dream as a small girl — to look after cats and dogs and give them a loving home. It has taken a while, but she finally got her wish eight years ago when she opened a luxury cat hotel in Leadgate.

Welcome to Brooms Dene Luxury Cat Hotel

Situated on Brooms Road, a quiet lane near the Jolly Drovers and surrounded by fields, the cat hotel is in an idyllic setting. With individual or family rooms, the hotel can house up to 10 cats at a time and is regularly full — with some feline guests making many return visits.

A Life Before Purrs

In a previous life, Denise worked at Derwentside Homes with a typical nine-to-five job. At the time, the closest she could get to fulfilling her childhood dream was helping look after the fell ponies and goats her husband Dryden bred.

A Dream Come True

Now it’s full-time doing a job she loves, surrounded by whiskers and purring guests every day. For Denise, life is truly Purrrfect.
