A historic family tradition is continuing in Lanchester thanks to Sarah and Liam, who opened The Old Ice Cream Shop on Station Road in 2023. Inspired by Sarah’s family roots in the North East ice cream trade dating back to 1937, the dog-friendly business now serves handcrafted ice cream, coffee, breakfasts and sweet treats to customers from across County Durham.
