After the success of last year’s Dick Whittington and his Cat, Paved With Gold Productions is back at St Patrick’s Hall, Consett, with their new pantomime Sleeping Beauty. Company founder Matthew Lowe was thrilled by last year’s feedback and is excited to bring another budget-friendly show to local families, with tickets priced at just £9 – much lower than many bigger venues.
This year’s Sleeping Beauty pantomime tells the classic tale of Princess Aurora, who is eagerly anticipating her 16th birthday party and hoping Prince Florizel will fall in love with her. However, the evil fairy Carabosse has other plans, plotting to ruin the celebration. Thankfully, the quirky good fairy Pam is there to save the day, and the hilarious duo Nursie and Muddles promise plenty of laughs for both kids and adults!
