George Ledger- Consett in Focus

Butchery is an ancient trade dating back to the early domestication of livestock when humans began processing animals for sustenance.

Knitsley Farm Shop has been open for over 15 years and the Butchery team have been central to their operation from day one. Demand for the meat products is so high in the shop and Cafes that they now have to buy in livestock from neighbouring farms.

The skilled team of butchers produce prime cuts of meat but they also produce delicious award winning bacon, sausages, kebabs, as well as an assortment of pies, cured gammons and hams , cooked meats, and homemade corned beef.
