This Autumn, Durham County Council is hosting virtual consultation events across each of County Durham’s 14 Area Action Partnerships.
At these events, people across County Durham will be able to have their say on the future of their local area. Following the county’s decision to allocate £20 million to make our towns and villages more vibrant, this includes an opportunity to influence how we spend these funds.
We will be recognising the outstanding community response to the pandemic. You’ll have an opportunity to find out more about how groups and individuals in your area have responded and to give a huge thanks to the hundreds of community and voluntary sector organisations and individuals, who have kept the County going at this extremely challenging time.
Hear key updates from the Leader of Durham County Council, Cllr Simon Henig, and Senior Officers, on important local issues, including the new vision for the county. Amanda Healy, Director of Public Health for County Durham will be updating on the COVID-19 pandemic in your area and outlining how you can help by becoming a COVID-19 Community Champion.
The Derwent Valley AAP’s event will run from 6.00 pm to 7.15 pm on Tuesday 20th October 2020.
