Discover a warm and welcoming community space at St. Cuthbert’s Church Hall, Shotley Bridge. Unveiling a new chapter in its rich history, the hall is thrilled to introduce monthly drop-in coffee mornings, starting September 16th from 10:30 AM to noon.

These coffee mornings offer more than just a sip of your favourite brew; they’re a window into the diverse activities thriving within the hall’s walls. From theatre groups to table tennis, the hall’s Chair, Mrs. Jan Worters, emphasises its role as a community hub for new activities and connections.

Built in 1881, the hall boasts two floors of accessible facilities, including a spacious hall with a stage, a fully-equipped kitchen, and smaller rooms for intimate gatherings. Its history is a testament to its evolution as a space that nurtures both reflection and interaction.

But the coffee mornings aren’t just about coffee. They’re interactive platforms where you can delve into the hall’s ongoing events while sharing your ideas for future activities. Mrs. Worters invites everyone to the first event on September 16th, where you can engage with those currently running activities and help shape the hall’s future.

Mark your calendars for October 14th, a coffee morning themed around local history, and November 18th, focusing on charitable causes. Additionally, an array of social events is on the horizon, including the captivating “Dark Light” musical event by Fools Gold on October 21st at 7 PM.

As Mrs. Worters extends her warm invitation, she hopes that both new and established patrons will join on September 16th and contribute to the growth of these drop-in coffee mornings. It’s a chance to connect, converse, and celebrate the rich tapestry of your local community.

Don’t miss this opportunity to be part of the ongoing story at St. Cuthbert’s Church Hall. Contact Jan Worters at 01207 655669 or email J.worters59@gmail.com for more information and to contribute your ideas to this exciting journey.
