A post box topper is a hat or bonnet crafted through crochet or knitting, specifically designed for adorning pillar boxes as a form of tribute, commemoration, but primarily for the enjoyment of the public. Noreen has been creating Toppers for the Postbox in Blackhill since Feb 2023 to raise a few smiles and dedicates many hours to ensuring each topper boasts an impeccable design and is meticulously crafted. As evident in the images, she is a perfectionist, investing time not only in the design but also in constructing them to withstand the challenges posed by varying weather conditions. – By George Ledger
