Robert’s journey into craftsmanship began as a shipwright on the Tyne River, where he learned the intricacies of working with his hands. Transitioning to a Newcastle-based firm, he delved deeper into the world of shoemaking before finding his true calling as a cobbler.
Now settled in Consett, Robert’s shop is a haven of hand tools and machinery, each telling a story of timeless skill and dedication. Beyond the mere repair of footwear, Robert breathes new life into leather articles, ensuring that each piece tells a story of its own.
