At the very end of March, we opened our Salvation Army Donation Centre, in Consett, right next to Tesco and Starbucks.  We were so excited to finally get those doors opened, it has seemed an age since we got the keys!

Our Donation Centre offers a space for volunteering, shopping, community engagement, recycling and giving back.  It is a place where you can donate furniture, bric a brac, clothing, shoes, and other items. It is a space where you can shop for many essentials, like clothing, homewares and furniture at very reasonable prices.

We believe that with the growing environmental and cost of living crisis, centres such as ours can be part of the solution.  Offering a great value shop, and a place to reuse and recycle.

Alongside this, we offer rewarding volunteering experiences.  Volunteering can be a great route out of the house, the beginning of the journey into work or simply a place to make friends and have fun.  We have roles in customer services, logistics and e-commerce on offer right now!

We want to become part of the Consett community, and we look forward to meeting you all. Why not pop in and say hi!
