Bishop Ian Ramsey CofE Primary School in Medomsley, Consett is delighted to announce a ‘Good’ Ofsted rating with areas of ‘Outstanding’ performance in its latest evaluation. This recent March 2024 inspection reflects significant advancements since the school’s last review in 2018.
Headteacher David Mordue highlighted the positive transformation, noting the “astounding turnaround” acknowledged by Ofsted. The inspection report praised the school for its excellent ‘Behaviour and Attitudes’ and ‘Leadership and Management’, highlighting these as outstanding areas.
Pupils at Bishop Ian Ramsey are commended for their exemplary behaviour and strong community spirit, contributing to a positive learning environment. The leadership team, supported by the Durham and Newcastle Diocesan Learning Trust, has been instrumental in driving these improvements with a clear vision and commitment to staff and pupil development.
