Consett Detachment of Durham Army Cadet Force parade twice a week at their Parliament Street base in Consett, on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7 pm to 9 pm.

The range of activities in their training is varied and grouped into modules- some carry a military theme, while others emphasise community engagement. Regardless of the focus, each activity is designed to ignite the spirit of young individuals, encouraging them to push their boundaries, foster independence, build confidence, and equip themselves to confront any challenge head-on.

Modules include – Cadets and the Community, Drill and turnout, Expeditions, Fieldcraft, First Aid, Navigation, Military knowledge, Music, Shooting and Communications and IT.
